GPMS Wind Ensemble Advances to State.pdfThe GPMS Band program has made history for our school! This year the Wind Ensemble entered the TMEA Honor Band competition, the most prestigious band competition in the state.
After surpassing region, our students qualified for area. Our area has nearly 70 districts, meaning over 100 middle schools, and the GPMS Wind Ensemble was one of 11 bands chosen to compete at this level.
Wind Ensemble tied for first place and will be advancing to state! This is the first time in GPISD history that any band, middle or high school, has advanced to state in their Honor Band classification.
We are so incredibly proud of our students!
